The whole thing looks like it was shot on a VHS tape and then left in the sun to melt.

Arrested Development came back, new The X-Files are on their way, Twin Peaks will return in 2016… Now, Netflix is pulling together the cast of 2001 cult classic Wet Hot American Summer for a limited-run series based on the film. The first trailer from the show, called Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, dropped today, in the form of a slapstick, Jon Benjamin-narrated commercial for Camp Firewood. The whole thing looks like it was shot on a VHS tape and then left in the sun to melt.

Basically everyone in the original film has gone on to have gigantic careers in comedy, and they're almost all coming back for the show. Original stars like Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, and Michael Ian Black will be joined by some new faces, including Jon Hamm and Jason Schwartzman.

The series drops July 31 on Netflix. Until then, watch the trailer above.
