Just how facepalmy does the US Congress seem now at the edge of the so-called fiscal cliff? Remember, they got here thanks to an intentionally crappy law originally meant to serve only as a motivation for Congress to pass a better law before it took effect. That’s amazing. But it all makes just so much more sense with the help of Floor Charts: Charts from the Floor of the US Congress, a new Tumblr that’s one of the better tickets I’ve seen into the inanity of the organization that this country somehow elected to make our laws. If nothing else, we expect politicians to be smooth talkers, but apparently they can’t speak without the comfort of absurd props.
