In just their first media availability of the offseason, the New York Jets caused a scene. If you can't be consistently good, at least be consistently on brand. In the locker room, Sheldon Richardson answered questions about the upcoming season and whether he wants to be in New York considering all the trade talk that has swirled around him of late. He said he wanted to be in New York, and seemed unconcerned with the trade talk—as long as he's a Jet, he's a Jet. He said all the right things, but then ad-libbed a little bit, adding that the "locker room's a whole lot easier to get along with now, so…" This is where the gaggle pounced like bloodthirsty sharks and yelled in unison "why's that?"Richardson immediately knew he fucked up, but was good natured about it, calling them all "thirsty" for their exuberance. But he still kept going. He said "let's just say there's 15 reasons why it's better.""15 reasons" is likely a reference to Brandon Marshall, who used to wear No. 15 for the Jets, and now currently wears 15 for the New York Giants. Marshall and Richardson got into it in the locker room following a blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3. Since then, stories of locker room strife have trickled out, and since the Jets stunk, the chatter lingered.Marshall may no longer be there in person, but he is there in spirit, quietly tweaking his former teammate in the social media realm.

Some of us are in this for life, and there's really nothing we can do about it. But if you ever find yourself in a position to potentially become a Jets fan, run the other way.
