My goodness, Antonio Gates is still out here balling. The Chargers scored with less than a minute left in the first half and it's all due to San Diego's gifted tight end. Rivers heaved a 27-yard pass into the end zone that was deflected by Chiefs safety Ron Parker but Gates kept his concentration and still caught the knuckling ball for a touchdown, all while backpedalling near the back of the end zone.

The 27-yard touchdown followed up another 27-yard Rivers-to-Gates hookup the play before, and capped off a six-play, 80-yard drive that took San Diego 40 seconds to complete. They lead the Chiefs 14-10, with the third quarter just under way.[CBS]
