BoJack Horseman Is Missing in the New Trailer for Season Four

Last season ended with him hopping in his car and driving east without a clear destination. According to the new trailer, it looks like he hasn't made it home yet.

On Thursday, Netflix released a trailer for the upcoming fourth season of its brilliant horse-with-human-body-parts-and-neuroses show, BoJack Horseman. And while the trailer spends most of its time catching up with Diane, Todd, Mr. Peanutbutter, and Princess Carolyn, one thing is notably missing—BoJack himself.

Things weren't looking so good for BoJack at the end of season three. The Horsin' Around star was contemplating suicide after a long drug binge left his former, self-destructive co-star Sarah Lynn dead in his arms. His friendship with Todd had splintered over a regrettable sexual encounter with Todd's friend Emily, and his rival Mr. Peanutbutter accidentally became a huge hero thanks to some bizarre pasta-related emergency.

The season ended with him hopping in his car and driving east without a clear destination. According to the new trailer, it looks like he hasn't made it home yet.

As for everybody else, things are going pretty well. Diane is working at a blog, Mr. Peanutbutter is running for governor of California, Princess Carolyn is considering starting a family with that mouse with glasses, and Todd is apparently flying around on a drone with a big bag of popcorn or something.

The trailer ends with a brief glimpse of BoJack behind the wheel of his car, still far from Hollywood. Who knows when or if he'll make it back to LA—but it looks like there's a young horse who may or may not be his long-lost daughter waiting for him when he does.

Give the trailer a watch above. The new season hits Netflix on September 8.
