So, what the hell happened with Terrell Suggs last night? Suggs was apparently supposed to be interviewed by Michele Tafoya for NBC following the Ravens 30-17 win over the Steelers, a win he played a starring role in. As Tafoya was wrapping up with Joe Flacco, it looked like she was turning to someone else but then the camera cut to Bob Costas, who was immediately prepared to tell viewers technical difficulties cut the camera. E-Zapruders later noticed that once the camera was back on Costas, we could see activity on the field. And what was that activity? A large man in a Ravens uniform running away from a group of people and not one, but two camera people sprinting after him.

The conspiracy theorist in all of us wants to believe that something untoward went down, causing NBC to cut the camera before anything aired. Maybe Suggs yelled "Fuck her right in the pussy," for instance. Or maybe he was just slightly more fired up than Bart Scott was for his now infamous "Can't Wait!" interview with Sal Pal and NBC didn't want him cursing all over the air. These things are on a delay for precisely those reasons.But the running is a little odd. A few seconds after Suggs disappears behind Costas' right shoulder, he appears from behind his left, near a section of fans still hanging around Heinz Field. Of course, he could have just said screw it, I'm going to chill with the fans, and NBC scrambled some camera folks out there to catch anything noteworthy.
Suggs later in the night went on about how the Ravens were out to disrupt the NFL's and the NFL's sponsors' plans for a New England-Seattle Super Bowl, which would air on NBC. So there you have another possible reason for the technical difficulties, if you've got your tinfoil hat on.[NBC]
