Julian Edelman scored two touchdowns in little over two minutes for the New England Patriots in their pre-primetime showdown with the Denver Broncos. Punter Britton Colquitt had some trouble with the snap initially and almost had the punt blocked, but he was able to temporarily avoid disaster and get it off just in time.The confusion may have helped Edelman, who also picked up a big block from Tim Wright that sprung him down the sideline. He weaved his way to the end zone, outpacing Colquitt to give New England a 20-7 lead midway through the second quarter. It was Edelman's fourth career punt return, a franchise record.[CBS]
