Trolling Pittsburgh Penguins Get Owned By Discovery Channel

The Pittsburgh Penguins are reminded by the Discovery Channel that there are no Penguins on ice in Pittsburgh.

The Sports-Science Twitter Burn Of The Century all started with an innocent tweet containing a fun fact about science and not sports:

On average, emperor penguins grow to be 3.8 feet tall >> http://t.co/HpD6bwgzhQ pic.twitter.com/PgLuwLYuBB
— Discovery (@Discovery) May 13, 2015

A tweet that is initially not sports is then made sports by the Pittsburgh Penguins twitter handle, a tweet we think was composed with the intention of being both funny and educational:

@Discovery As of May 13, 2015, the average Pittsburgh Penguin grows to be 6'1".
— Pittsburgh Penguins (@penguins) May 13, 2015

Just when you think it's all over and the Pens successfully create cross-brand dialogue regarding the height of birds, the major science media network owns the shit out of a sad hockey team that did not make the Stanley Cup playoffs by practicing the study of burning:

@penguins Strange. Our latest observations show no Penguin activity currently on ice in Pittsburgh. Where did they go?
— Discovery (@Discovery) May 14, 2015

Better go get some ice for that burn.
