Virgo, March 2018

A full moon arrives in your sign this month, Virgo.

Welcome to Pisces season! March opens with a full moon in your sign on the first, which is sure to be intense. Full moons are emotional, so plenty of feelings will be in the air for you to address and release. (Full moons are all about release, so cry those tears, Virgo!) They’re also exhausting, so don’t overbook yourself—which you have a tendency to do. You do so much for others, Virgo, but how much attention are you giving to yourself?

The Sun is currently in Pisces, shining down on the relationship sector of your chart and bringing your focus to your partnerships; however, this full moon is in your sign, shining its light on you. What do you need? A climax will take place in your relationships, especially concerning time management and self-care. If you’ve been holding back on asking for what you need, now is the time to stop being a martyr and make some demands.

Astrologers have long accused you of being a control freak, but I know the truth about you, little virgin: You truly want to help as many people as possible while managing your own shit effectively—which means doing things in a way that works for you . Doing things your way hasn’t been easy recently, but now, with this full moon, it’s time for you to get everything sorted out.

Luckily, Venus and Jupiter will share some good vibes on this day, and on March 2, your planetary ruler Mercury will also connect with Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of growth and good luck, and it’s currently in Water sign Scorpio, activating the communication sector of your chart. This bodes well for smoothing over any misunderstandings and for helping you connect with the people you want to partner with (romantically or otherwise!).

An especially easygoing day for you to watch out for this month is March 4, when your ruling planet Mercury meets with Venus. The vibe will be gentle, people will be in the mood to socialize. The Sun will also meet dreamy Neptune on this day, making for a lazy yet imaginative atmosphere. Neptune’s nature is to dissolve, and the Sun is the planet of the ego—we’ll all be able to let go of our bullshit today (unless, of course, “letting go” stresses you out, in which case you may face some paranoia. Learn to let go, Virgo!).

There’s a new moon in Pisces on March 17, marking the beginning of a new cycle in your relationships.

The energy shifts on March 6, when both Mercury and love-and-money planet Venus enter Aries. Aries rules a very private sector of your chart, and these planets’ entrance into it will find you talking about sex and intimacy, as well as complicated issues around money. This is a powerful time to go deeper in your relationships on a physical and emotional level.

Sex, emotional intimacy, and shared resources continue to be a big theme as Aries season begins on March 20—which is another big day you will want to circle on your calendar. Your ruling planet Mercury will meet Venus again on this day, making this another exciting time to connect with others. Expect to learn some secrets or to share a transformative experience with someone.

Daylight savings begins on March 11, which will find Mercury squaring off with Saturn. You can expect stress around communication will arrive, though you will feel intensely focused, which could prove helpful., Mars connects with Uranus today, too, bringing big surprises and pushing you forward around an emotionally intense situation. Finally, the Sun connects with Pluto, offering a creative transformation in your partnerships—plenty of ups and downs today, Virgo!

There’s a new moon in Pisces on March 17, marking the beginning of a new cycle in your relationships. Pisces is a deeply emotional sign. You’re very emotional as well, Virgo, but as an Earth sign, you have an easier time staying in the moment than Pisces, whose symbol is two fish, bound by rope hooked intro their mouths, facing two different directions—past and future—swimming in a deep ocean with riptides, waves, and whirl pools (so you see, it’s all very complicated for Pisces people). You, conversely, sit with your deep thoughts and emotions at the beach, using the opposable thumbs Pisces lacks to organize seashells into sections and piles that help you work through your problems: This pile is how upset going to work and having to sit next to Karen makes me, but this pile shows how happy I am when I get my check.

Is your way better than Pisces way? No! As complicated as Pisces’s ocean is, they wouldn’t waste time making stupid piles of rocks on the beach—they intuitively know what they want. (They just have a hard time expressing it.) You and Pisces go about things differently, but you compliment each other immensely—Pisces’s creative imagination plus your practical approach is a phenomenal combination. During this new moon, use the energy to reconnect with your partners and bring your talents together to create a fresh start.

Also on March 17, Mars enters fellow Earth sign Capricorn, igniting the romance and creativity sector of your chart and energizing you to make art, have fun, celebrate with your friends, and flirt up a storm. Capricorn is a driven, hardworking energy, but it also knows how to party. Mars, the planet of war, is fiery and always on a mission. If you’ve been feeling aimless, you’ll reconnect with your purpose when Mars rolls through Capricorn.

Your biggest concern this month will probably be Mercury retrograde, which begins on March 22 and ends on April 15. Because Mercury is your planetary ruler, you always feel a little extra fucked up when the retrograde comes around. You know the warnings: Watch out for miscommunications and delays, hold off on purchasing expensive items or electronics, and avoid travel, signing contracts, or making important agreements.

This Mercury retrograde is likely to be more emotional for you than usual, as you’ll find yourself reflecting on times of grief, and you’ll be letting go of thoughts and emotions you may have been repressing. This is a powerful time for transformation, and if you use the energy well you’ll be able to let go of the thinking patterns or ideas that are no longer serving you. Lovers from your past will come back around, and old debts will reemerge for you to repay.

There’s a second full moon March 31. This one will be in Libra, bringing your attention to your finances as well as issues concerning self-worth and security. Aries season has found you totally enmeshed with other people’s shit: their emotions, shared resources, all that complicated relationship stuff that happens when you become intertwined. This full moon—in cool, logical Libra, the sign of balance—will mark a time for compromise and clear boundaries about who owns what. (Not just literally, like, Who owns this hoody you and I have been sharing for a few weeks now? but also emotionally, like, Just because your ex texted you nonstop doesn’t mean you need to snap at me if I send you two texts in a row.)

Venus enters fellow Earth sign Taurus on March 31, creating a slow, sensual energy. Things will start to feel much chiller now, after a notably hectic month. You’ll be in a light and easy mood, feeling philosophical, eager to see the world and learn new things. Good news will arrive from faraway places, or you might even develop a long-distance crush. Venus in Taurus will also bring you blessings if you’re traveling or studying in school. Good luck this March, Virgo, and see you in April!
