Libra, March 2018

A full moon in your sign arrives this month, Libra!

Welcome to Pisces season! You’re been hard at work lately, but you’re going to need to take time to yourself at the beginning of the month in order to rest and reconnect with your inner voice: There’s a full moon in Virgo on March 1. If you’ve been overworking yourself, this full moon will be especially critical for catching up on down time. All full moons are exhausting, but this one will be especially so.

You’re a people pleaser, Libra, but if you spread yourself too thin trying to help everyone, you’ll end up not doing a good job and you’ll hurt yourself in the long run. Virgo is a sign that loves list making and planning. Use the energy of this full moon to get reorganized—but don’t work too hard at it. Carve out time to get some rest, be alone, and get in touch with your spiritual needs. Meditation should be part of your daily routine; if it isn’t, this full moon is a spectacular time to get started.

As stressful as this full moon may be, good vibes will be in the air. Your planetary ruler Venus connects with lucky planet Jupiter on this day, too, bringing you blessings around money and helping you feel grounded, secure, and creatively inspired.

March 4 is a lazy day, thanks to the Sun meeting hazy, dreamy Neptune, but it’s also a social one, thanks to chatty Mercury meeting sweet Venus. All four of these planets are in Pisces, where they’re activating the sector of your chart that rules your daily routines. Run your errands at a leisurely pace today. Is it possible to enjoy folding your laundry or picking up groceries? You’ll find yourself having fun ticking items off your to-do list—and possibly running into some attractive or inspiring people as you do!

On March 13, your planetary ruler Venus squares off with taskmaster Saturn, and the Sun connects with lucky planet Jupiter. These are two very different combinations of planetary energy, so today should be interesting—the mood will be rather cold, but you’ll be able to find the bright side.

The partnership area of your chart is going to be very busy this month.

Both messenger planet Mercury and love-and-money planet Venus enter your opposite sign, Aries, on March 6, activating the relationship sector of your chart—exciting! The partnership area of your chart is going to be very busy this month: Mercury in Aries means lots of communication will be in the air, and Venus in Aries will inspire people to get along and compromise. It’ll also find your partners in a more easygoing, charming mood than usual.

Aries season officially begins on March 20, with the Sun’s entrance into this sign. The 20th will be a highly social day: Mercury and Venus will meet in the sky, which means some exciting meetings will take place. Circle this day on your calendar—it’s a great time to make connections, meet people, go out on a date, or hold a meeting. The mood will be energetic, confident, and fun.

Mercury goes retrograde in Aries on March 22 (and won’t turn direct until April 15). This transit will find you running into past partners and reconsidering many of the conversations, ideas, and agreements you’ve made through the month—especially concerning your relationships. The people you’re in relationships with may go back and forth on their ideas and opinions during this time, which will be frustrating. Now isn’t the time to plan for the future, Libra. Instead, focus on finishing projects that you’d put on the back burner, and try to keep things light in your relationships because everything will be up in the air.

Aries is a sign that acts first and thinks later. This is an especially tricky energy during Mercury retrograde. Mercury is the planet of communication and commerce, so watch out for misunderstandings, delays, and technical difficulties. Wait until after Mercury goes direct before making any big purchases or signing any agreements.

There’s a new moon in Pisces on March 17. You know all that time you had to take at the beginning of the month, during the full moon in Virgo, to catch up on rest and get away from work? Well, you’re ready for a fresh start now: to take on new responsibilities and work, and to pick up some new, healthy habits that support you physically and mentally. Pisces is a magical, psychic sign, making this new moon a beautiful time to tend your altar (or build one!) or to recommit to a meditation practice.

Also on March 17, action planet Mars enters Capricorn, lighting up the sector of your chart that rules your home. If you have issues around your living situation you need to take care of, Mars will certainly energize you to see to it.

Tension in your personal life arrives on March 23, when Venus squares off with Pluto. You’ll need to put up solid boundaries in your life, and you may find yourself dealing with feelings of jealousy or obsession. Watch out for power struggles. If you’re having a hard time dealing with someone, call in the help of an unbiased third party to help mediate. Pluto, the planet of the underworld, can get up to some shady shit, but bringing in a third person will shift the energy. Unexpected shake-ups in your relationships will arrive on March 28, when Venus meets rebellious and unpredictable Uranus. Don’t fear, though: These shifts are occurring so that a new cycle can begin in your life, especially around how you relate to people. Pluto’s energy is intense, but Uranus comes in soon after, helping you feel freer.

The month closes with a full moon in your sign on March 31. So much of Aries season is about your relationships, but this full moon is all about you. If the give-and-take has been out of balance between yourself and your partners, this full moon will bring things into balance—which could mean some drama and confrontation, but ultimately, it will be worth it! Again, full moons are emotional and tiring, so don’t overbook yourself. Make extra time to focus on your own needs.

As an Air sign, it’s important that you’re not pent up. You need fresh air, to be moving around, to talk to people. And as a cardinal sign (the first sign in a season—in your case, autumn), you need autonomy. Get clear on your needs, Libra, and claim them under the light of this full moon!

Your ruling planet Venus enters Taurus also on March 31, illuminating a very intimate sector of your chart. Venus’s entrance into sensual Earth sign Taurus bodes well for your sex life, and for intimacy in general. Access to money—perhaps an inheritance or a debt being repaid?—may come your way, too. Good luck this month, Libra, and see you in April!
