These images are from the Brighton heats of Britain's' first ever Miss Transgender Pageant. The girls arrived early in the morning, sometimes the night before, to get ready at the venue and practice there walks and performing on stage. Rachel Bailey and Sue Pascoe are the main organisers, transgender women themselves; their focus of the pageant is to create a wider awareness and acceptance within society of transgender people.
