August starts off with Saturn going direct on August 2 in Scorpio. It's been retrograde since March 14, 2015, where it reworked and tested your boundaries and strengths. Saturn first entered Scorpio on October 5 2012; at that time, it began teaching you (or, reminding you) how much you hate boredom and how you need mystery in your everyday life. Endless routines devoid of magic or change kill your heart and soul.

Since Fall of 2012, Saturn's been throwing obstacles your way, challenging you build a schedule and to structure your life in a way that actually works for you. If you haven't had a mature approach to the mundane world over the last few years, Saturn likely kicked your butt. This was the wrong chunk of time to sleep until 2 pm, forget to brush your teeth, or slack off at your day job. If you did your work, congratulations! Saturn will send you plenty of good vibes and excellent letters of recommendation. Expect a boost in material and physical abundance, and enjoy the peace that comes with having a schedule that supports, rather than destroys, you.

Saturn briefly left Scorpio and went into Sagittarius between December 23, 2014 and June 14. Think back to that time period--it'll give you a taste of what you can expect for the next two years or so, because Saturn will reenter Sagittarius on September 17. Expect to spend a lot of time focusing on partnerships: The next stage in your life is coming soon!

Not totally done causing trouble, Saturn squares Jupiter in Leo on August 3. Be super realistic about what you can bring to the table in any situation. This is not the day to believe that if you shoot for the Moon, you'll end up with the stars--you won't, and you'll end up in tears feeling like a giant dummy for promising more than you can offer. Saturn's just spent a few years whipping you into shape around responsibilities. Don't forget everything you learned now that it's moving direct!

On another note: Gemini Kanye West is such a Gemini. Who else but someone ruled by the god of communication, Mercury, would tweet "Sometimes I get emotional over fonts"? Curious, outgoing, and chatty Gemini isn't thought of as being one of the more emotional signs, but we all know it's true: When the Twins get emo, they love to talk it out, and talk it out you will this month, with plenty of planetary energy focused on you expressing yourself and getting in touch with your sensitive side.

August 6 will be a busy day: Mars is trine Saturn, meaning that your focus is strong and you're feeling good, organized, and ready to face the world. Mercury, your ruling planet, will also be conjunct Venus, inspiring the poet within you. But hold off any flowery text messages for now. Later tonight, Mercury will square Saturn, a pretty bitchy combination, so I would chill on making contact unless you want to get denied. It's a great day to think about things--but wait to discuss them until another time.

The next day, August 7, is a big day for your planetary ruler, Mercury. Mercury meets with Jupiter (the planet of growth, abundance and good luck) in Leo super early in the morning. This combination releases our inner philosopher. You know those amazing long chats you have with your friends that leave you feeling like the world is yours and anything is possible? That's what this combination does, so expect to stay on the phone or at the bar until the break of dawn. Some exaggeration is always to be expected with Jupiter involved, and yes, Mercury does like to gossip, and together they have a tendency to procrastinate or make assumptions. All in all, though, this is an inspiring combination. I think this will be one of the highlights of your summer; if you're aching for a heat-to-heart, tonight is your night.

Later on August 7, Mercury enters Virgo, a super analytical and practical combination. This is a welcome change, allowing for some objective thinking following Mercury's time in "me"-oriented, attention-loving Leo. Virgo's vibe is quieter, way more chilled out than yours, Gemini. Mercury going through Virgo will find you thinking and talking about issues involving your home and safe space. You'll also be feeling a little sensitive and a little more emotional. Thinking about moving or fixing up your place? Now's the time to mull it over. If you're working out issues with family or roommates, keep in mind that the next day, August 8, Mars will enter Leo, making you super direct and confident in your communication, which is awesome; however, be aware that this kind of behavior can also be misinterpreted as confrontational.

Mercury isn't the only planet going into Virgo: Jupiter enters Virgo on August 11, and the Sun enters Virgo later in the month, August 23. Their forces combined will expand on that domestic vibe; you'll find yourself really working out your home life and living situation. You'll also see an increase in your empathy and your desire to nurture yourself and others.

On August 12, logical Mercury opposes dreamy Neptune, making this not the best day to make commitments. It is a great day to party with trusted friends, however. The keyword here is trusted. Mercury and Neptune have this thing about trickery and illusion, so stay sharp.
