Broadly: Why are you here protesting today?

Lina, 20, Dallas: These are our rights. As a Muslim American from African American descent these are my rights to fight [for]. Being a woman, I don't want my rights taken away. I was born and raised here, and I feel like our voices need to be heard now before it's too late. I'm thankful to have this opportunity [to protest]. I'm not originally from New York City. I'm here for school and coincidentally all this is happening and I have extended my stay in New York because of this, because of these protests. We've been protesting since the day of the inauguration everyday in and out. As you can hear, I'm losing my voice. Every day, we are fighting. I won't back down until the day we see freedom—even if I have to, I'll protest for four years straight.
