Broadly: Why do you oppose Trump's immigration restrictions?

Christain, 36, Haiti: I moved here when I was sixteen years old, so as an immigrant who came here in search of better opportunities. Trump's ban is unconstitutional. It's really kind of a no-brainer.

How do these new restrictions impact you or your loved ones?

I can't directly say I am impacted by it… but one thing that a great American once said: "Injustice to one is injustice to all." I think when people grow in their consciousness [they] understand that any form of injustice, to anyone, directly impacts you. To me, if they start with the Muslims, soon it will be the Haitians, and then it will be the intellectuals and leaders, the activists, and lastly will be everybody who doesn't fit Trump's agenda.

"If I could say anything to Trump about the immigration restrictions, I would say…"

Well, you're already president, you're already in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth… I don't know what to say that would make any difference or make it better… but if America is going to be a perfect union then you have to bring in new ideas and perspectives. It is definitely not in the best interest of America to ban brains, talent, and workers from coming in to support the country and help it reach its full potential.
