Broadly: What brings you out here today?

Sumaiyah, 14, New York: Well, I just thought, who makes a difference if no one starts? I wanted to come out here and be supportive and just fight.

Why do you oppose Trump's immigration restrictions?

It's not fair, it's really not fair.

How might you or your family be directly affected by the immigration restrictions?

On December 2nd, my grandfather passed away and my grandmother went to Bangladesh, my father's home country, with him. We want to bring her back [now], but we're afraid something might happen with immigration and we might not see her. It's kind of scary to bring her back. She doesn't speak any English so you never know what might happen. It's just high risk.

Anything to add?

It's worth it, coming out. Walking out of school during school hours is not something to do, but I'm doing it for the right reasons so it's worth it.
