Communication planet Mercury and love-and-money planet Venus both enter Aries on March 6. Aries season officially kicks off on March 20, when the Sun enters the sign of the ram. You can expect kind communication while sweet Venus is in Aries; this is a lovely time to send off a letter of appreciation, and to connect with people in general. With Mercury in this sign, your mind will be especially sharp—you’re quick-witted to begin with, but I truly feel sorry for anyone who stuck trying to debate you with unbeatable Aries’s energy behind you. Of course, we’ll all have a Mercury retrograde to contend with, which begins on March 22 and ends on April 15, and which will find you rethinking many of the conversations and agreements you made throughout the month.

While Mercury’s retrograde, it’s an inopportune time to sign contracts, because the conditions of any agreement you make may change (Mercury is a planet that’s all about details, and when it’s retrograde, we may miss some!). It’s also a bad time to travel (delays are likely) and to hold important conversations, since miscommunications are common during this time. Use Mercury retrograde as an excuse to slow down, save a conversation for later, and rethink things. Expect to run into people from your past—so put on your best disguise if you’re avoiding someone, or, alternatively, take advantage of this energy by hitting up a crush you haven’t seen in a while.

Both of your ruling planets, Saturn and Uranus, will be busy on March 11. Communication planet Mercury will square off with taskmaster Saturn, which will be great for focusing on work you have to get done. However, it won’t be so hot for asking for what you want. There will be obstacles around communication, whether it’s not being able to get the person you want to talk to on the phone, or them straight-up saying no to your requests. (Another crappy day for connecting is March 13, when Venus will also clash with Saturn—the energy will be cold, not cuddly.)

On the plus side, on March 11, action planet Mars will make a harmonious connection with inventive Uranus, bringing surprises your way. This is an excellent time for networking; you could connect with some truly energetic, innovative people. The Sun also connects with power planet Pluto today, boosting your intuitive abilities and promoting helpful changes.

There’s a new moon in Water sign Pisces on March 17, activating the sector of your chart that rules finances and self-worth. This is a wonderful occasion to rework your budget or, if you’re feeling witchy, to cast a money spell. Emotionally, this is also a wonderful occasion to reflect on self-esteem issues. Are you nurturing your talents—or do you hide them away? Do you ask for what you’re worth at work? Do you have a hard time accepting help, gifts, or compliments? Use the energy of this new moon to open up and receive.

Pisces is a Water sign. Draw yourself a bath, use some aromatherapy that helps you feel grounded—perhaps vetiver or cedar wood—and relax with your palms facing upward, visualizing that you’re receiving all the gifts the universe has to offer. This might sound very woo-woo, but you’re sure to do some real-life hard work soon, too—on the same day as the new moon, action planet Mars will enter driven Earth sign Capricorn. Mars in Capricorn will find you up late at night, working on your many projects, and it will also find your intuition revved up. Make sure to make time to rest during this hectic and exciting time, dear water-bearer.

Exciting meetings and unexpected news will arrive when Venus and Uranus meet in Aries on March 28, but watch out for tension the next day, when the Sun squares off with Saturn, which will find you facing obstacles. As much as you want to say yes to everything, now is the time to prioritize finishing old projects instead of starting new ones. It’s also very important that you catch up on much-needed rest and time alone (you’re always involved in group projects or activities—it’s an Aquarius thing).

The second full moon of the month arrives in fellow Air sign Libra on March 31. Libra is the sign of justice; during this full moon, fairness is going to be an especially important theme for you to reflect on. An important conversation is likely to take place, and a philosophical breakthrough is likely, since this full moon will be illuminating the sector of your chart that rules knowledge.
