This is why I oppose Trump's immigration restrictions.

This interview is part of Broadly's Voices Against the Ban series. You can read more of these voices here.

Broadly: Why do you oppose Trump's immigration restrictions?

Negeen, 26, San Francisco: If he wanted to impose a ban to counter terrorism, why not choose countries that have actually committed acts of terror? It is clearly on the basis of racial and religious bias. He is indiscriminately destroying lives to appeal to the white Americans he scared into voting for him.

How do these new restrictions impact you or your family?

My uncle was detained the day after the Muslim Ban was ordered. He was held at a CBP detention center for 13 hours, and my family was horrified. They didn't know where he was or when they would hear from him. He's an Iranian-American green card holder who's lived in the US for 40 years.

"If I could tell President Trump one thing about these immigration restrictions, I would say…"

Shove it up your Cheeto-dusted asshole.

Do you have any additional comments about the new immigration orders?

It seems like he wants to start a war with Iran. I've never been to my motherland, and the way it's looking now I can't any time soon.
