Inside the Biggest Vogue Ball of the American Midwest

On this week's episode of "My House," the cast travels to Chicago for the annual Midwest Awards Ball. Watch Jelani as he prepares to compete in the "thug realness" category.

Tonight, on a brand new episode of MY HOUSE, the cast travels to Chicago, Illinois to compete in The Midwest Awards Ball. Legends, fem queens, and budding stars from all over the country travel to Chicago every year to make a name for themselves in the world of ballroom. This year's theme is "Olympics 3000," requiring all who hit the runway to do so in patriotic sportswear.

In an exclusive clip from this week's episode, we find Jelani Mizrahi prepping for his category, "Thug Realness." Jelani has to win the judges over by appealing to their ideals of masculinity, while also serving the demeanor and presence of a boxer.

Though the stakes are high and the competition is steep, Jelani doesn’t flinch. He explains that living in America has groomed him for this: "As a Black man, you need to fight every single step of the way to get what it is that you want in life."

"Survival of the fittest," Jelani affirms, "that is the American Dream."

Tune in and travel to Chicago with the cast of MY HOUSE tonight on VICELAND at 10:30 PM EST.
