October's waters are calm, especially compared to September, which was an overwhelming month filled with change (Saturn entered Sagittarius, starting a new two year journey around your career), backtracking (Mercury, the planet of logic, went retrograde in the sign of partnership, Libra) and major revelations (two Eclipses, one in Virgo, your opposite sign, and one is fiery Aries). After such a busy month, you definitely need some rest, Pisces. You tire out very easily any way (you are the last sign of the zodiac, and you've been through a lot). October is generally peaceful—but don't worry, Pisces, there's enough drama and confusion to keep you on your toes!

Mars opposes Neptune on October 6, which might create some confusion and confrontation in your partnerships. To be precise: You, Pisces, will be the confusing (or confused) one, since the planet of haze and fantasy, Neptune, will be in your sign. Your partners will be the ones eager for an answer, confrontational and probably a little anal, with warrior Mars in nitpicking Virgo right opposite you and Neptune. No firm decisions today, Pisces—keep things flex, but be sympathetic to that fact that people will really feel the need to have some structure or dependability in their lives.

Some tender energy arrives to your relationships when Venus (the planet of love, harmony, and wealth) enters your opposite sign, Virgo, on October 8. Venus and Virgo are a funny combination: Venus is alluring and flirtatious, whereas Virgo's innocent and, well, virginal. A feeling of wholeness is manifesting in your relationships, which will be very strong in early November. Mercury, the planet of communication, has been retrograde in the sign of partnerships and cooperation, Libra, since September 17. It goes direct on October 9, bringing forward motion around all the issues you've rethought over the last few weeks. A lot of serious matters have been brought up for you to reconsider. Issues around intimacy, debts, and even death or other endings or transformations have been whirling around you. You're a deep thinker, but even you may have been caught off guard by the vibe of this Mercury retrograde. The last time Mercury was retrograde in Libra was October 2014. Do you see any similarities or connections between that time period and now?

If you've felt like you've lost control over the last few weeks, with Mercury retrograde in Libra hitting you in such sensitive ways, I have good news, my favorite fish: Jupiter, your ruling planet, trines Pluto on October 11. This is a really, truly powerful combination that will bless you with lots of luck and create a sense of ease in your life, especially concerning your relationships and your social life—and the positive blending of the two! Doesn't it suck when your friends hate your partner, or vice versa? I don't know if everyone will heal their differences on this day, but I can tell you that it seems like people will be coming together to lift you up. Also, this transit does suggest that you'll find some new goals to chase after. Your belief in what you can accomplish has grown, and with that, so has your checklist of dreams for the future! As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, you have (karmically) been there and done that, so sometimes it can be hard for you to motivate yourself—not this month! Dream up as many dreams as you can; people want to help you make them realities!

A new beginning around the stresses you encountered during Mercury retrograde will come along with the New Moon in Libra this October 12. This New Moon is a great time to honor your relationships and to plant new seeds around intimacy, both romantic and otherwise. Is your life filled with unfulfilling booty calls and texts at 4 AM? Do you BFFs feel way too comfortable opening your wallet to buy themselves a drink at the bar? No more of this nonsense, Pisces! This is also a very deep, psychic, spiritual New Moon for you, so if you haven't shuffled your tarot cards in a while or visited your favorite tree in the woods, this is a great day to reconnect to your soul.

Remember that aggressive, confusing confrontation you faced earlier this month on October 6 when Mars and Neptune opposed each other? Keep it in mind on October 16, when Venus opposes Neptune! This time, the vibe will be less confrontational and perhaps more passive aggressive (as always with Venus, she's kind of bitchy). Venus is in Virgo—a practical, realistic sign—and facing off with nebulous Neptune in dreamy Pisces will feel a little scary and insecure for her.

There is another side to this transit that's important to keep in mind: Neptune is the planet of fantasy, and Venus loves whimsy more than anyone. There may be some situations in your life wherein you, or someone you care about, is getting swept up in something that they don't have the full 411 one about. We all can get suckered into bad situations if someone pumps up our self-esteem like crazy and feeds us all the lies we want to hear—so we've got to watch out for one another! We're really learning this the hard way from all this intense relationship stuff going on with the New Moon and Mercury retrograde in loving Libra.

The energy on October 16 is telling you to cut off any deceitful, addictive, or fake relationships, even if they make you feel good on the surface. Hear out your friends who suggest you take better care of yourself, and be sensitive to those around you who might need some help leaving a tricky, confusing relationship. Virgo is the sign of habits and rituals. Venus in Virgo feels sexiest when she gets to keep her routine going, but delusional Neptune can leech off that vibe in a very bad way— get really real about your life and your routine, Pisces!

Mars meets Jupiter on October 17, both of them in Virgo, the day after Venus and Neptune face off. This is a major day for your relationships! Mars is the warrior planet, so you'll have excellent backup as you sever the ties with any shady, illusory relationships. Jupiter is the planet of luck, and it also happens to be your ruling planet, Pisces, so this should be a victorious day for you!

The Sun enters Scorpio on October 23. Scorpio is a slinky, sexy Water sign just like you. You'll have worked on a massive amount of relationship issues this month, Pisces, and when the Sun enters transformative Scorpio, you'll be ready for a change. Try something new—perhaps a class or a new TV show to cuddle up with now that it's getting chilly. Or, even better, get the fuck out of town and explore a new place! To whatever degree you can insert some exploration, independence, and inspiration to your life, do it, Pisces!

Venus meets Jupiter in Virgo on October 25, bringing your focus back to partnership, but in a loving, abundant joyous way this time. This is a five star evening for a date night, a makeover, a business meeting, or anything you want to Venus-ify (i.e., make more beautiful, whole, happy and/or prosperous)! Jupiter, again, adds a dash of luck and joy—enjoy, Pisces!

The Full Moon in Taurus October 27 will bring some illuminating conversations and perhaps help you solve a puzzle or two that needed addressing in your life. Things have been a little confusing this month, haven't they? You'll see what it was all for at the end of the month when the Sun—the symbol of our ego, our path and destiny—trines Neptune on October 30. We love trines. They bring ease and grace to a situation, and a trine between the Sun and Neptune renews our faith, heightens our sixth sense, and generally injects a little more fantasy into our lives—something you can't live without, Pisces!
