Broadly: Why do you oppose Trump's immigration restrictions?

Amin, 27, Brooklyn: America has always been a home and haven for the Middle Eastern community.

How do these new restrictions impact you or your family?

These restrictions are separating my family. What people don't understand about the Middle East is, we are all family. Here in New York—same thing. We are all family. You do not separate families.

"If I could tell President Trump one thing about these immigration restrictions, I would say…"

You can't shut the door. You cannot shut the door on the people you left behind.

Do you have any additional comments about the new immigration orders?

Immigrants are the backbone. If we change presidents this year, we should also change the name of our nation to the United Immigrants of America.
