That's the problem with Neptune: You never know what you're going to get. Neptune is whimsy and romance, but it's also the planet of fog and confusion. The best way to work with this energy is to listen to your intuition—Neptune is psychic! Avoid paranoid thinking and do your best to stay open-minded.

Having an open mind is the only way to survive March as so many high-pressure astrological events will be taking place, like the Jupiter opposition to Uranus on March 2.

Uranus is another unpredictable planet. While Neptune is shrouded in a glittering mist, Uranus is electric, chaotic, and unpredictable. It's the rebel and the innovator, and when it clashes with Jupiter, the planet of growth and exaggeration, your reflexes will be tested. How do you react when a sudden change comes along?

Jupiter and Uranus's clash will activate sectors of your chart that deal with security: financial, emotional, spiritual. Surprises will come your way, so if you've been spending too much money, or relying on other people too much, this could mean drama. Even if you've been responsible, you'll see the cracks in your plans—which is a good thing! When you're made aware of what's not working, you're able to make changes.

And who knows—Uranus is the planet of surprises, but that doesn't mean all the shocks that come your way in early March will be inconvenient. Jupiter loves to exaggerate whatever it touches, but it's still the planet of good luck. This is a powerful time for breaking free from debts, or breaking out of relationships that are costing you too much, financially or emotionally. Uranus does not like to be tied down, so expect people to be antsy as hell early this month.

On March 4, Venus begins its retrograde in Fire sign Aries, which will be major for your intimate relationships. Venus is the planet of love, money, beauty, and harmony—but things are going to be intense as fuck. Sex issues will be highlighted. Complicated financial issues like taxes, debts, and inheritances will also come up.

Venus will reenter Pisces on April 2, putting the pressure on your relationships. (We'll talk more about this in April's horoscope.) Venus finally goes direct on April 15. What were you up to in March and April of 2009? Those issues may come back up, but you're smarter, and understand your needs better, now.

Mars enters fellow Earth sign Taurus on March 9, energizing you to take risks and explore new places and ideas. Mercury joins Mars at the end of the month in Taurus, on March 31, during which time you can expect plenty of news from faraway places to come your way. If you're in school, or you're hoping to publish something, this will be an energizing time.

There's a full moon in your sign, Virgo, on March 12! Because the Sun has been in your opposite sign, Pisces, so much of your focus this month has been on your relationships. But this full moon will put the spotlight on you, your feelings and desires. This is an important time to think about self-care. How are you nurturing yourself, Virgo?

Full moons are always intense and emotional times, but this one will be especially tiring: Your ruling planet, Mercury (currently in Pisces), will clash with Saturn, in Sagittarius, creating communication issues.

This isn't the best day to plan an important conversation. Virgo, your sign is infamous for picking out flaws, and you'll be especially talented at spotting mistakes—which will hurt someone's feelings. But! Spotting mistakes could be handy if you're working on any important projects, since you'll be focused and motivated to be critical.

Mercury enters Aries on March 13, followed by the Sun on March 20, which also marks the spring equinox. A new moon in Aries arrives March 27, which should be interesting. Mars will make a harmonious aspect to Neptune on this day, too. Aries season is a passionate time for you, Virgo, as the intimacy sector of your chart will be activated.

Thanks to the new moon in Aries, you can expect a renewal of an emotionally charged situation. Communication will flower more easily today; people will be motivated to help each other out. There's an understanding, even a psychic, vibe in the air.

Your ruling planet, Mercury, is super busy during the second half of the month. Mercury clashes with power planet Pluto in Capricorn on March 23. Watch for compulsive thinking on this day, especially about your love life and things you have no control over. Mercury opposes Jupiter in Libra on March 24, creating an intellectually stimulating vibe; be sure not to miss any details.

Mercury meets Uranus in Aries on March 26, which is an especially exciting day: Surprising news will arrive! Finally, Mercury connects with Saturn in Sagittarius on March 29, creating a supportive energy—not in a cuddly, "aww, you're great!" way, but in a serious, reserved way. It's a great day to get organized or do work that requires you to focus.

On March 30, Jupiter in Libra squares (an intense astrological aspect) Pluto in Capricorn, which will be one of the most intense days of the month. Again, having an open mind will help you through this time, but truly, the best thing to do at the end of this month is make sure you're acting with integrity and that you're not up to any shady business. Pluto is the planet of shady business, and it will expose you if you're being manipulative, vengeful, or dishonest.

Jupiter is the planet of good luck and growth, even during a tense time like this, so amazing growth may happen for you, Virgo, allowing you to make more money and have more fun. But if you're not acting morally (Jupiter is all about morals), Pluto will happily knock you down.

The energy is transformative: Major reorganizations will take place. Change is scary, but Virgo, as a mutable sign (the last sign of the season, in your case: summer), you're better equipped to deal with change than most people are. Because there is this stereotype that Virgos are perfectionists, people could be fooled into thinking you're a control freak.
