Broadly: Why do you oppose Trump's immigration restrictions?

Haleema, 19, Slough: Because Trump is a racist. He's a fascist. He's a sexist. He's just someone who should not be in a position of power, ever. He's someone that has run a campaign based on hate and we know from history that racism never fixes anything. We saw it with the Nazis, we saw it during the Holocaust, we saw it in Serbia, we saw it in Bosnia, we've seen it in Kashmir, we see it in Palestine today. Racism never wins. Racism never helps anything and we can't allow someone like Trump to spew his hate and get away with it.

How will the restrictions affect you and your family members?

I mean, I'm visibly Muslim. My family is from Pakistan, specifically we're from Kashmir. The problem there is when we want to go to America we have to go through extreme vetting anyway. This has made it near-enough impossible, but in addition to that, it's made us not want to go. Why would we want to go to a country that hates us? Why would we want to go to a country where the population voted for a racist? It just doesn't make sense. Why would we want to take our skills, our manpower, and help an economy that hates us? It doesn't make any sense.

"If I could say one thing to Trump about his immigration restrictions, I would say…?"

You're an idiot.
