Pisces, March 2018

Happy solar return, Pisces!

Happy solar return, Pisces! It’s your season, and you’re feeling like yourself: psychic, a little wacky, possibly a bit lazy (though your imagination and creativity are on fire), and very much in the mood to let loose with your friends.

There will be plenty of drama on the first day of the month, thanks to a full moon in Virgo—but it’s totally possible that it will be fun drama, due to lovely Venus (which is currently in your sign, making you feel cute as hell) making a harmonious connection with the planet of abundance, Jupiter. On the next day, Mercury will also connect with Jupiter, which means lucky opportunities will come your way from faraway places. With both lovely Venus and communicative Mercury connecting to philosophical Jupiter, you can expect some extra good luck if you’re in school, traveling, or working on any projects you’re hoping to share with the world, such as writing a book or recording an album.

This full moon will be major for your relationships, so expect a culmination around a situation concerning a partner (romantic partner, business partner, a friend, whatever). If you’ve been waiting for something to happen, now it will. Full moons are always powerful times for manifestation, and this one is in Virgo, a sign that knows how to plan and schedule things, so it’s a particularly great time to lay a foundation for the future you want.

You and Virgo are opposite signs; however, there’s one big there you two have in common: wanting to be of service to others. This is a powerful time to dedicate your energy to a good cause. There is, of course, the issue of you being too generous with your time and energy, and generally being a doormat. Often, your best defense against being used is disappearing—but what if you stayed and stood your ground instead? Embrace being the boss and nixing ideas under the full moon in Virgo, the hardworking, detail-oriented, often called “picky” editor of the zodiac.

On March 4, dreamy vibes will flow as the Sun—which is currently in your sign—meets hazy planet Neptune, your modern planetary ruler. Your head will be in the clouds, so don’t plan any important meetings—unless the meetings are social in nature. Mercury will also meet Venus in your sign on this day, making it a fantastic time to connect and network. You’ll be ultra charming and know just the right things to say.

A new moon in your sign arrives on March 17. This is a wonderful time to reconnect with your inner voice, explore your emotional needs, and process your feelings.

An energy shift will take place on March 6, when Mercury and Venus both enter Fire sign Aries, igniting the financial sector of your chart. Yes, you can expect lots of talk about money to take place, but on a deeper level, you will also find yourself reevaluating what’s important to you and working through any self-esteem issues you may have. I suggested you tap into the bossy side of yourself during the full moon. This is also true now—Aries, the first sign in the zodiac, isn’t afraid of asking for what it needs!

Your traditional planetary ruler, Jupiter, begins its retrograde on March 8, retracing the steps it’s taken through fellow Water sign Scorpio since mid-December. As it does, you will find yourself reflecting on your beliefs—some of which you may find to be outdated and no longer useful, others in which you’ll find deeper meaning. Jupiter’s journey through Scorpio, in part, is about you learning more about your faith and what you stand for. Another aspect of Jupiter’s time in Scorpio is about you expanding your horizons, traveling, and studying at school. The retrograde period is a time to process what you’ve learned; when Jupiter goes direct again, on July 10 of this year, you’ll find yourself again embarking on new journeys.

March 11 is a busy day: Mercury squares off with the planet of restriction, Saturn. This isn’t the easiest day for communication; however, it may find you working out issues around your goals and finances in a mature and thoughtful way. Action planet Mars also makes a connection to the planet of surprise, Uranus, creating an unpredictable vibe. Themes around power will certainly be in the air: The Sun will connect with the lord of the underworld, Pluto, today, too. To top it all off, daylight savings time begins! Today’s takeaway? Meditate on how you want to connect with the world at large. Reflect on your reputation, your social connections, and how you invest your time. Today’s vibe won’t be easy for control freaks; Saturn’s a tough energy, and Pluto’s death-and-rebirth vibe isn’t easy for most people—but you’re far from “most people,” little fish!

Another tense day is March 12, when Venus will square off with Saturn—not the most romantic day, by a long shot. In fact, the vibe may be a bit stingy. Work with the energy by consciously taking control of your budgeting issues, both around cash and your time and energy. Today does have some good energy: the Sun will connect with lucky Jupiter, so some fantastic philosophical breakthroughs are likely, and it’s a brilliant time for spiritual practice.

A new moon in your sign arrives on March 17. This is a wonderful time to reconnect with your inner voice, explore your emotional needs, and process your feelings. If you’re in a witchy mood, reconnect with your element—water—by taking a bath and visualizing yourself shedding what’s no longer needed and watching it swirl down the drain when you’re done. After you’re done with your meditation, hit up your best friends and go out and party—action planet Mars is entering Capricorn on this day, revving up the social sector of you chart!

Fun, social energy is in the air on March 20, when Mercury meets with Venus again (this time, likely bringing some news about money in addition to flirty communications). Also on this day, Aries season officially begins! A whole month dedicated to you standing up for yourself, your time, and your talents and getting clear on your self-worth. If you have a favorite bossy Aries in your life, hit them up for tips on being confident. I’m an Aries, and I have a tip for you: You’re the last sign in the zodiac—your soul, astrologically speaking, has seen it all. How can anyone top that?

Mercury goes retrograde on March 22, in Fire sign Aries, finding you reconsidering many of the conversations and ideas you’ve had this month, especially on the financial front. Be careful about not losing your wallet—Mercury retrograde often finds people misplacing things. This also isn’t the best time to sign a contract, and you may find more delays as you travel, as well as miscommunications and technical difficulties. Don’t worry, it won’t last forever: Mercury goes direct on April 15!

The month ends like it began: with a full moon. This time it’s in Air sign Libra—plus, Venus will enter Taurus on the same day. The full moon in Libra is a profound opportunity for emotional release. This is a powerful time to let go of the past, and to work through any grief in your life. Sex and intimacy will also come to the fore. While it’s in chill Earth sign Taurus, sweet Venus will send peaceful communications your way, and it’ll also find you connecting with your local neighborhood and your siblings. It’s a busy month! Good luck, Pisces, and see you in April!
