Broadly heads to Silicon Valley to spend a day with Erin Teague, the Director of Product at Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. Erin is responsible for designing the interface of Yahoo!'s fantasy gaming apps, which are used by millions of people every year.
From a humble background in suburban Michigan, Erin has flourished to become a dominating force in her field–and a rare one at that. As African Americans make up only one to two percent of employees at the leading tech companies in the US, Erin is especially cognizant of her position as a black woman and leader in the tech industry.
We join Erin on her daily 13-mile run, and spend the day with her at the Yahoo! campus, where we quickly learn that this Harvard grad and long distance runner stands out amongst her peers in more ways than one. Not only is she a foot taller than most of her peers, Erin is also one of the only women in the Fantasy Sports division. However, Silicon Valley is a game, just like Fantasy Football is a game, and Erin has a game-plan to win.
